Brandon Block 'under 24-hour surveillance after being removed from CBB with chest pains'

DJ and Celebrity Big Brother contestant Brandon Block was rushed to hospital with chest pains on Thursday.

The 49-year-old star was removed after complaining of feeling unwell and when the show's medical staff were unable to diagnose the problem, he was taken to hospital.

Brandon's departure from the house was not aired on TV and his medical issues were not mentioned.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: 'Brandon wasn't well at all. It was pretty serious.

'He immediately saw the medics that were on standby at the house. But there were concerns his condition could worsen and could even become critical so it was decided he needed to go to hospital.'

However, a message on Brandon's Twitter account played down the incident, stating: 'Checked in with producers last night and It's been a bit fabricated! The tests were routine (sic).'

Despite the protestations from Brandon's camp, the Star's insider claimed producers will be monitoring him carefully around the clock.

They said: 'They don’t want to risk the health of any housemate and if he has chest pains again, they will be ready to get him to hospital.'

A representative for CBB declined to comment when approached my MailOnline. A representative for Brandon had nothing further to add.

Meanwhile, another Tweet was posted on Brandon's account to clarify that the star didn't have access to the site during his brief time away.
