Ayda Field left mortified after awkwardly belting out husband Robbie Williams' hit Angels at NTA to a VERY unresponsive audience

It was her time to shine on stage instead of her superstar husband.
But Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Field's shot at singing went down like a lead balloon as she showed off her vocal talents at the National Television Awards.
Penny Lancaster revealed on Thursday's Loose Women that the American actress was left mortified after her co-stars egged her on to sing her partner's smash hit Angels.

Ayda took to the stage at the prizegiving to present Best Serial Drama alongside Penny, and bravely told the crowd, 'Sorry, I've always wanted to do this...' before bursting into the track's famous first line.
However, the performance didn't exactly move the crowd - to do anything, in fact, and she faced a silent star-studded audience.

Showing the awkward clip on the show, host Andrea McLean admitted she had told her the stunt would be hilarious, but admitted: 'I did find it funny... but no one else did.'
Penny also revealed that the pair had sneakily looked at the winner before presenting the prize - and Ayda struggled with how to pronounce Emmerdale, who took home the revered trophy.

Before her gaffe, the 37-year-old stunned in a plunging champagne gown which showcased her cleavage and cinched at the waist, highlighting her svelte physique.
She teamed the dress with eye-catching statement jewellery consisting of dangly silver earrings and a matching necklace.

The beauty wore her brunette tresses in loose curls, decorated her chestnut peepers with dark eyeliner and sported a slick of berry lipstick.
Ayda presented the Best Serial Drama award alongside her Loose Women co-star Penny Lancaster.
Posing beside a large award statuette backstage, Ayda cast a smouldering glance at the cameras.
