Revealed! How Yoruba Actor Femi Adebayo Met his Wife at Yaba 2 Year Ago

It came as a big surprise to his fans in Nigeria and abroad when top Yoruba actor, Femi Adebayo wedded his longtime girlfriend, Omotayo Sanusi exactly 8 years after he divorced his first wife, Khadijat, the mother of his 3 kids (a baby girl and 2 boys) who is reportedly now married to one Alhaji in Kwara State. Femi and Tayo’s wedding took place on Sunday 9th October 2016 at G’Denny hall inside the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, (NIMR) very close to the  psychiatric hospital, Yaba Lagos. Those who had no idea who the lady was were peddling rumours that she is an ON AIR personality, while others reported that she may be the USA based lover whom Femi allegedly collected the sum of 8 million naira to shoot some movies for her in 2013 but Femi debunked all the rumour then.
Adebayo’s new bride is based in Nigeria and she is a celebrity/online caterer who uses JUMIA as her online shopping site. She is the CEO of Iya Alalake foods.

According to information exclusively gathered by our correspondent, Femi met Omotayo in Yaba Lagos in 2014 when the actor paid a visit to Yaba and he spotted the babe from afar. Overwhelmed by curiosity,  Femi we learnt approached her and they both exchanged contacts.
Having gotten her numbers, Omotayo, =Femi chased her for good 6 months before both got intimate in 2014. Before now, Iyalalake foods specialized only on pounded yam catering and due to the fact that she is very good at it, and has a huge clientele, people started requesting for other taste of food, this we were told motivated Jumia to partner with her. When you order for home-made food on Jumia, she is most likely the one supplying it.
The Lawyer turned actor cum Special Adviser to the Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatai Hammed on Arts, Culture and Tourism, Femi was so secretive about his 2 year romance with Omotayo that nobody including the media got a wind of it.

Even when the actor had an exclusive interview with City People Gbolahan Adetayo in June 2015 on how his first marriage to Khadijat crashed, Femi was so cautious about revealing the identity of his new lady. All he told us was that he will be getting married soon.
The Invitation of the classy wedding which was kept under wraps, even those who had it didn’t discuss with people simply because Femi allegedly asked them to keep it to themselves. The wedding was kept secret until the D-day, when virtually everyone in the industry converged to witness it. The ceremony was anchored by Olatayo Amokade (Ijebu) Muyiwa Ademola, Ronke Oshodi Oke and one other member of TAMPPAN.

A Lagos based juju musician was on bandstand to electrify the ceremony. The success of the event is a strong indication that Femi Adebayo is well loved and respected in the movie industry. He made the event so discreet to the extent that Aso Ebi, cap and gele were passed “underground” and many people didn’t know. The Event Center, located on a street at the first turning left after the bridge at Jibowu, Yaba, behind Presbyterian Church, Yaba, was well decorated by a Lagos based event décorator. The couple changed their wedding attires 3 times. Femi was so smart with the invitation cards, rather than using the name everyone is familiar with, he wrote instead: the Nikkai between Maimunat and Abdullateef, which is his second name. The wedding was graced by the the celebrator’s parents, Salami and Ejide Adebayo, Desmond Eliot, FathiaBalogun, Bimbo Oshin, DayoAmusa, IyaboOjo, OdunladeAdekola, Sola Kosoko, KamiluKompo, Sanyeri, Tope Adebayo, Adebayo Tijani and many others including government officials from Kwara, Oyo and Lagos state.

On why he made his wedding a secret, Femi posted on his Instagram page on Sunday afternoon thus: “Femi Adebayo ties the knot with his beau today, Omotayo Sanusi, in a quiet ceremony with immediate family members and close friends. The decision is best known to us as I have been on the lane before and my wife has never been, I have to protect her privacy at all cost, please we pray for the understanding of our friends and my beloved loyal fans, I appreciate you and please your prayers and support is all we need. He further posted another statement 2 days after the wedding where he said, “Mr and Mrs Femi Adebayo. Alhamdulillah.
