RABB-AGED CBeebies slammed for showing a cat presenting a dead rabbit to its kittens during tot’s show Meet The Kittens

CBEEBIES pre-school favourite Meet The Kittens has caused uproar amongst parents – by killing then parading a dead rabbit.

The popular children’s show broadcast episode nine of the series, which included a mother cat catching a dead rabbit – which was then presented to its kittens.

The cat takes its time carrying the dead animal in its mouth, then drops the bloody rabbit on the floor for the litter to sniff.

Shocked parents took to social media to express their upset at the graphic incident.

Dismayed mums and dad complained on the Facebook page.

Episode nine of the programme states on the BBC iPlayer page: "Series following newborn kittens.

"The kittens try collars on for the first time and encounter a wild rabbit that Cleo brings home for them."

Another aghast parent wrote: "Why on earth are you showing a dead rabbit being dragged through the house by a cat for?! My poor three-year-old asked what was wrong with it and I had to tell her it was asleep 😡 how blooming stupid."

Another ranted: "Can I ask what made you show a dead rabbit being dragged in by a cat???"

An angry parent blasted: "Showing kids a cat dragging a dead rabbit is disgusting. I know it's nature and everything but for kids with pet rabbits that's got to be quite disturbing."
