Kevin Hart To Star As Santa Claus In New Disney Film

Comedian Kevin Hart is in talks to star as Santa Claus in a new Christmas film made by Disney “Dashing Through the Snow,” – a family comedy about an overworked New York policeman who takes his son to work with him on Christmas Eve.

Will Packer, who worked with Hart on the Ride Along movies and was an executive producer on Roots, is producing with John Jacobs (Ted).

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the story tells of a New York City detective who is a workaholic and has a strained relationship with his son.

The only thing that may be able to repair the father-son relationship is the one true Santa Claus who has to make the man believe in Christmas magic.

Hart, one of the busiest actors in Hollywood, recently starred in “Kevin Hart: What Now?” ‘Ride Along 2” and “Central Intelligence” alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, which earned over $126 million domestically.

Hart, who also voiced a character in The Secret Life of Pets, is shooting Jumanji, Sony’s remake of the 1995 family adventure movie that reunites him with his Central Intelligence co-star Dwayne Johnson.

No release date has yet been set for Dashing Through the Snow.
