"We have so much fun," Graham told E! News' Erin Lim. "Just shooting the final season, it feels like the final season. We're already feeling that nostalgia, we're already missing each other."
Yes, Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Stefan (Paul Wesley), Bonnie and the rest of the Mystic Falls gang will be saying so long when The Vampire Diaries wraps up after its eighth season. And from the sound of it, it's going to be quite a season. Graham promised "cool new characters" and solid storylines.
"The villain, as of right now, is this amazing female badass. It's going to be good," she teased.
Graham has costarred alongside the likes of Nina Dobrev, Somerhalder, Wesley, Candice King and Matt Davis since the show's start in 2009 and said she'll miss the people the most.
"I spent my 20s on this show, it kind of raised me," she said. "So absolutely, I'm going to miss everyone."
The end of TVD was announced at 2016 San Diego Comic-Con.
"It's so rare for a show to get to last this long, and what a privilege that Mark Pedowitz and Peter Roth have allowed us to choose the time to end the journey on our own creative terms," co-creator and executive producer Julie Plec said in a statement. "It's been eight of the best years of my life. I will miss it terribly, but I'm so proud to be here to see it to its proper end."
The Vampire Diaries final season premieres Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
