Sex scandal: US envoy to present video evidence

The Ambassador of the United States to Nigeria, James Entwistle will submit video evidence against the three members of the House of Representatives on Thursday when the Ossai Ossai Committee, assigned to investigate the alleged sex misconduct is set to begin, Vanguard reports.
The three accused, Mohammed Garba Gololo, Samuel Ikon and Mark Gbillah face charges of eliciting sexual acts from sex workers.
Entwistle, in a petition to Dogara had described the actions of the three men as bringing disrepute to parliament. The Ambassador is also expected to present all the necessary evidence, such as video footage of the accused.
News24 Nigeria reported that the House of Representatives had summoned the outgoing Entwistle, over the allegation of sexual misconduct leveled against three members of the House.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, also reportedly said that the three Nigerian accused lawmakers remain innocent until proven guilty.
Samuel Ikon had previously also rejected the claims saying that it is a case of mistaken identity, in a statement released through his lawyers, Ikon told Nigerians to be patient as he would be vindicated when the truth came out, saying that he has taken legal steps to clear his name.
