A father who could not resist his daughter's body has brutally r*ped her and threatened to cut her throat.

Wisdom Akpe raped his daughter

A heartless father has been arrested by the police for brutally r*ping his 19-year-old daughter and threatening to kill her with a kitchen knife if she tells anybody.

According to the prosecutor on the case, Stanley Dzakpasu, on the 7th of July 2016 at about 3:30am, the victim, a 19-year old Junior High School (JHS) leaver was fast asleep when her father, who is a 45-year-old painter at Tema Community, identified as Wisdom Akpe jumped on her, held her throat and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.

She could not identify who r*ped her at the moment. 

AdomNews reports that the victim later told her father, Wisdom Akpe that she was going to report to the Community Two Police that she had been raped. Upon hearing this, the accused knelt down and confessed to the victim that he is the one who had sexual intercourse with her and as such, she should not report to the police.

However, on Friday, 8th July 2016 at about 8:00pm the accused Wisdom Akpe, again approached the victim with a condom and attempted to have carnal knowledge of her but she declined.

After being rejected, the father told the daughter to lie that it was their neigbhour who r*ped her. However, when she said she cannot accuse the neigbhour who is a taxi driver by name, Ato as the one who r*ped her, the father got angry and pulled out a kitchen knife, slapping the victim several times and threatening to stab her with the knife.

The victim later lodged a formal complaint with Community Two DOVVSU and was issued a medical form to attend hospital.

The accused who pleaded not guilty has been remanded in police custody and is to appear before her honour, Mrs Mariama Samma at the Tema Circuit A court on 26th July 2016.
