The police in Kogi State arrested a man, Hussain Zubaira, for allegedly stabbing his pregnant neighbour, Bose Muhammed to death after the two were involved in an argument, Punch reports.
Zubaira is believed to have stabbed the pregnant woman in the stomach with a pair of scissors. She was rushed to hospital but died on arrival.
A friend of the deceased who witnessed the incident said that they were talking about a lost phone when the suspect intervened in their conversation. Muhammed then cautioned the suspect to not meddle in their conversation which infuriated him.
An altercation then broke out resulting in an enraged Zubaira stabbing the pregnant woman in the stomach with the pair of scissors.
Police later confirmed that they had arrested the suspect who is believed to have been abusing drugs, shortly after with an investigation into the matter being opened.
