Kate Middleton’s lace dress was classic and chic as she stepped out for a memorial service in France — and we would expect nothing less from the effortlessly stylish Duchess!
Kate Middleton, 34, looked appropriate and chic as she stepped out in a lovely lace frock for a somber visit at a service to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the battle of the Somme on July 1, where she donned a lace 3/4-sleeve dress which featured a Pretty Peter pan collar and a black fascinator as she arrived at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Memorial in France.
The frock, in a beautiful cream hue, fit her svelte frame like a glove and extended past the knee, while peplum detailing at the waist actually made it look like she was wearing chic separates in some photos!
Kate’s bespoke frock featured a black underlay which gave the frock a more formal vibe — and the addition of her elaborate Lock & Co hat certainly kept the theme alive as she wore her hair back, allowing the beautiful detailing of the dress, (like the collar!), to really shine. Her go-to pair of black court pumps and a black clutch polished off the ensemble.
I especially love the way her black accessories tied the look together, as the hue was visible thanks to the underlay of the dress — and you can never go wrong with color-coordinated neutrals!
