A 35-year old cultist, Andrew Awalebi after being arrested by the Rapid Response Squad, Lagos State Police Command, has boasted that he is bullet-proof as no bullet can pierce his skin thanks to a local "bullet proof" potion prepared by a herbalist, Vanguard reports.
Awalebi who was arrested along with five other cultists from the Eiye Confraternity confirmed that he worked with a landowner in Lekki disclosing that he earns a comfortable salary for his protection services of the land from land grabbers.
The Lagos Police Command confirmed the arrests and warned residents to be wary of their children while also reporting any suspicious activity immediately.
News24 Nigeria reported that no less than 11 people are alleged to have been killed following a fresh cult clash in River State.
In an alleged reprisal attack, members of the Greenlanders cult group stormed the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA of the State on Wednesday, killing several civilians before escorting a well-known doctor, identified as Dr. Erike, along with one other person.
