High Court Affirms Ikpeazu As Governor Of #Abia State

Justice A.I Allagoa of the Federal High Court in Owerri, Imo State has on Friday dismissed forgery charges against Okezie Ikpeazu, even as the judge affirmed his election as Governor of Abia State.

Ruling on the matter filed by Friday Nwosu against Ikpeazu, on alleged forgery of tax documents, the court held that the plaintiff (Nwosu), was unable to prove that the tax documents were forged.

Nwosu, one of the governorship aspirants in the December 2014 governorship primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had file a tax forgery suit against Ikpeazu.

The plaintiff prayed the court to declare him the party’s rightful candidate and governor of the state.
