An aide to President Muhammadu Buhari has made a vow to the Niger Delta Avengers that any unpaid stipends owed to the militants would be paid in full as he begged them against any further violence, Naij reports.
The special advisor to President Buhari on Niger Delta, Paul Boroh has expressed his concern over the late payment of stipends to militants in the Niger Delta region.
Boroh in a statement assured that the payment would be made soon as the three-day public holidays are over, and any hiccups were now sorted.
He urged the militants to cooperate as the Buhari administration are exploring all avenues in bringing lasting peace to the region.
According to reports by Vanguard, the Niger Delta Avengers have said that they will continue to prevent President Muhammadu Buhari's government from exporting crude oil as the president has decided to refuse to enter into a dialogue with militants.
