89-year-old Islamic scholar remarries 68 years after first wife

Prominent Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi has taken a new wife 68 years after marrying his first wife when he married the daughter of late Senegalese Islamic scholar Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse, Naij reports.

Sheikh Bauchi is also the deputy chairman Fatwa Committee of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs.

Bauchi married his first wife in 1948 and has 61 children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren
