The 35-year-old appeared to be rather shaken by the incident as she told the This Morning viewers what has happened.
She said: 'There was this almighty bang and this guy on this scooter/moped thing hit the car next to us and we just heard this noise.
'We've all stopped obviously and I said to the driver, "Is he alright? Can you have a look?" I didn't want to look at first
'I hold my hands up, I didn't want to look as you don't know what you are going to see and I thought I don't know if I need that in my head, that image.
'Anyway, he looked and then I got up and went round and this poor chap had come off his bike, the bike was on top of him. He had hit a stationary car, I think.'
Sitting alongside her co-host Phillip Schofield, she said: 'There was a chap at the bus stop opposite who came running over - and then the driver of our car lifted the moped off him.
'I called an ambulance and we sat there with him. He was in complete shock.
'At first we weren't sure if he was OK because he was just sitting there, lying completely out.
I couldn't see if he had any broken bones, but if someone has an impact you need them to keep very still.
'I rang the ambulance who were there in minutes. They were there very very quickly. So I hope he is OK.'
Phillip added that no doubt the man in question would be surprised to learn it was Holly herself who had come to his rescue, when he is well enough to take everything in.
