'People don't recognise me': Game Of Thrones actress Gemma Whelan insists fans STILL have no idea who she is

She may be part of one of the world's most popular TV series.

But Game Of Thrones actress, Gemma Whelan, has revealed that people still don't know who she is and is often not recognised.

The 35-year-old screen star has starred in the HBO fantasy series as fierce warrior, Yara Greyjoy, since 2012

However, speaking on ITV's Good Morning Britain on Tuesday she revealed that her role hasn't had a dramatic impact on the rest of her life.

She said: 'People don't really recognise me. It's happening a little bit more now because I've more to do this season.

'Game Of Thrones perhaps influences what auditions I get but it's hard to tell.'

But even when people do know who she is, Gemma said that she would never reveal the secrets of the show or what to expect in upcoming episodes.
