The militant group, the Niger Delta Avengers, has given seven governors in the South-East and South-South geo-political zones a 72-hour ultimatum to facilitate the release of pro-Biafran agitators held by the military and the police in their respective states or risk attack on their convoys.
The group also warned the military and the police that it will attack their stations or bases should this deadline be ignored.
The warning, which the group said is the last one, was contained in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Brigadier-General Mudoch Agbinibo.
The governors at which the warning was directed are Victor Okezie Ukpeazu of Abia State, Willie Obiano of Anambra State, Henry Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State, Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and Rochas Okorocha of Imo State
"We request the immediate release of all Pro-Biafrans activists held in your various police/military custody. You are hereby given 72 hours to release them or risk your convoys, police station, military base and government offices being attacked.
"We are not negotiating with anybody and nobody is representing us.
"In 48 hours we will release a video clip showing our arms and the targeted areas.
"All strike team already in position awaiting command.
"We are ready for war and we have nothing to lose," said the statement.
