Liam Hemsworth confessed to having a vicious childhood with his elder brother, Chris Hemsworth in an appearance on the Graham Norton Show alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jeff Goldblum this week.
The 26-year-old Hunger Games star revealed there was a ton… make that tonnes of violence during his early relationship with 32-year-old Thor cast, Chris.
“Our childhood rivalry was a bit vicious – a bit like The Hunger Games’, Liam said, ‘We had a few incidents with weapons.”
Liam reminisced one peculiar incident where he threw a blade at Chris’s head.
“So one day when I was about five we had a fight in the kitchen about using the toaster, or something, and I picked up a kitchen knife and threw it at his head and the handle hit him in the forehead. I could have hit him with the other end if I’d wanted to. It was just a warning shot!”
Liam and Chris both have an elder brother, Luke Hemsworth, who’s also in the limelight.
The Hunger Games actor disclosed he never messed with his elder brother, Luke, as he was way older than him though he had a closer relationship with Chris.
“I never had any problems with Luke because he was so much older and I didn’t mess with him.”Luke quipped, ” But with Chris, we were very like minded, very stubborn and would often get into arguments and because I was so much younger and smaller I had to use weapons to fight.”
Despite minute squabbling while growing up and sortable rivalry – which is common with siblings while growing up, especially for boys, there’s a lot of love with the Hemsworth brothers as Liam added, “I did a TV show about 10 years ago with Luke and he came in for a day’s work. All the cameras were on me and Luke was trying to distract me all the time – brotherly love!”
