Fani-Kayode denies message to #Christians

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has denied claims that he wrote a letter to Christians and Apostle Johnson Suleman, calling it a plot by mischief makers to tarnish his name, Vanguard reports.
The former Minister said in a statement that the supposed letter was an attempt to discredit his character and cause disaffection among his associates and supporters.
The purported letter contains a message to Christians declaring his innocence and claiming that Muslims in Nigeria were persecuting Christians. He added that the reason he finds himself in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is because he is a Christian.
News24 Nigeria reported earlier today that a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja, has said the detention of former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was in order.
Fani-Kayode, who served as spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation, has been in EFCC custody for his alleged complicity in money laundering activities.
