EXCLUSIVE 'It scares the living daylights out of me': Michelle Heaton on telling her children about health issues and how she's made peace with having no more kids

She took the brave decision to publicly confront the discovery she had the mutated BRCA2 gene in 2012, leading her to undergo a hysterectomy and double mastectomy.
However, while she has gone from strength to strength since her operation, the fact that her children have potentially inherited the gene - which can lead to cancer - still weighs heavily on Michelle Heaton's mind.
Speaking to MailOnline, the Liberty X singer, 37, revealed she's 'scared' of potentially sitting her daughter Faith and son Aaron down someday and explain the steps they might have to take.
Following the discovery that she had the mutated gene, the pop star and actress decided to undergo a double mastectomy in 2012 and a hysterectomy in 2014 following the birth of her son, now two.
However, with the gene being passed down to her children, Michelle revealed that she is terrified she may have to deliver life-changing news to her four-year-old daughter and son one day.
'It scares the living daylights out of me,' Michelle said, thinking about what she might have to tell either Faith or Aaron, or indeed both of them, at some point in the future.
'Who wants to have that conversation with their daughter or son?' she said. 'Both of them have the same risk of inheriting the gene.
