IT looks like Memphis Depay really is the forgotten man of football at the moment.
The Holland international has had a disastrous season at Manchester United and it seems as though everyone has forgotten who he is.
The Dutch team are in action against the Republic of Ireland in a friendly on Friday night, playing for little more than pride after missing out on qualification for Euro 2016.
Depay was named in the starting XI by Holland boss Danny Blind for the international match, but his name was spelt incorrectly.
Instead of Memphis Depay, the teamsheet said Mempis Depay.
As it that wasn't bad enough, even Sky Sports News spelt his name wrong, calling him Mamphis when they tweeted the team news.
It's a tough end to a poor first season at Old Trafford for Depay, and he'll be hoping to force his way back into the limelight next year.
The 22-year-old has spoken of his excitement at working under new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
Speaking to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, he said: “If the arrival of Mourinho becomes official, I’ll ask Wesley Sneijder what kind of man he is. That’s interesting. It all sounds so, but it is not yet official.”
When the 22-year-old winger was reminded that Sneijder had previously described Mourinho as the best coach he had worked with, he replied: “That’s a nice prospect.”
