Harrowing pictures from inside the house of horrors where tragic toddler Liam Fee was murdered show the barbaric shackles and makeshift cage use to imprison two other boys.
Rachel Fee, 31, and Nyomi Fee, 29, were today convicted of murdering Liam by inflicting severe blunt force trauma to his body at a house in Fife, Scotland.
A court heard he had been in "intense agony" and "excruciating pain" before he died.
The couple tried to falsely blame the death on another child - one of two other boys who can't be named that they were also convicted of abusing.
The boys were given cold showers, tied up in a dark room where snakes and rats were kept and forced to eat dog excrement.
One of the boys also had his face rubbed in soiled underwear and was made to eat his own vomit, the court heard.
Pictures which can be seen for the first time today reveal the true extent of the life of pain and neglect the innocent youngsters suffered for at least two years
- before his murder at a house near Glenrothes on March 22, 2014.
At least one of the boys is known to have been tied to a locked home-made cage.
In one picture a cage created with slats from a bed can be seen which is believed to have been used to imprison little Liam.
It is believed he was left caged for prolonged periods of time - and without proper mental stimulation.
In another picture a chain - which is believed to have been used to keep Liam and the other boys tied down and not escape - can be seen lying discarded on the floor.
