Bayern Munich have no intention of selling Robert Lewandowski as #striker holds talks with #RealMadrid - TheSun

REAL MADRID have been told that Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski is not for sale at any price.

Zinedine Zidane is keen on landing the Poland international in a big-money move this summer after holding talks with the striker and his agent.

Cezary Kucharski confirmed: “Real Madrid contact us a few weeks ago, we listened to everything they said. It’s a big and exciting club.

“We have informed FC Bayern that we’ve held talks with Madrid.”

Incoming boss Carlo Ancelotti has every right to be worried, with Lewandowski interested in a Bernabeu switch after firing home 42 goals this season.

The player himself added: “Contracts are not a holy relic in football.

“You can like this attitude or not but it’s the truth. Sometimes you have to think about if it is meaningful to try out a new impulse.”

Spanish reports claim that Real are already preparing a £365,000-a-week, six-year deal for Lewandowski to join Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in attack.

But Bayern are adamant that the 27-year-old will be staying at the Allianz Arena, with chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge telling Kicker: “One thing I know for sure: Lewandowski will play at Bayern Munich in the next season.

“No one must make thoughts about that. The decision is like: We will not give Robert Lewandowski to another club, no matter what they will offer to us. We have no breaking point at Robert.”

Bayern are believed to be targeting Champions League glory next season after falling at the semi-final stage in each of Pep Guardiola’s three years at the club.

Big money has already been spent on Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels and Benfica’s Renato Sanches, and Lewandowski will be expected to play a key part in the new campaign.
