13 Feared Dead, Scores Injured As #BokoHaram Raids 5 Communities In #Borno State - 360nobs

Not less than 13 persons were reportedly killed, scores critically injured as Boko Haram terrorists attacked five communities of Ladin Buta near Khaddamari village of Jere Local Government Area of Borno state on Tuesday.

It was gathered that the militants of the sect, who were armed with Ak47 rifles and petrol bombs including Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), took over and destroyed the communities in the process.

A source, who was at the scene of the incident, said that Boko Haram fighters raided the communities around 7pm on Tuesday, setting ablaze many houses after it had killed 13 residents and left scores of others critically injured.

Also confirming the incident, a police officer attached to Jere Division, said that the he was at his duty post when they received a distress call that Boko Haram sect had invaded the surrounding communities of Khaddamari.


According to him, the Jere Police Division was having no reinforcement from the military to repel the attack on Tuesday night, adding that it was until the early hours of Wednesday that the officers of the Division visited the areas.

The police source, who pleaded anonymity, disclosed that after visiting the scene of the incident, they recovered 13 dead bodies of residents with scores injured with bullet wounds and burns.
