But there's a new, and slightly more niche complaint to be wary of - and it ironically stems from your efforts to make food more appealing.
One little lad found himself unable to eat his lovingly-prepared dinner - because it was too cute to eat.
Crying heart-breaking tears, he finds himself unable to even entertain the idea of eating the sweet, smiley-face dish his mum presents him with.
Cajoling him into eating, his mums asks him to "just take a bite".
Having none of it, he replies, "it's just too cute for me to eat" and refuses his mum's assistance - even the offer to make it into a much more palatable 'sad face'.
It seems the mum in question was trialling a new format, as the little boy accuses "you never make something like this for me." Which proves that no good deed ever goes unpunished.
