#EddieRedmayne Graciously Rooting For #LeoDiCaprio To Win The #Oscar: It’s His Year

Even the competition agrees! Leonardo DiCaprio, 41, is a front-runner in the Best Actor category at this year’s Academy Awards, and now Eddie Redmayne, 34, has revealed that he’s rooting for The Revenant actor to come out on top in 2016.



The British star, who is nominated for The Danish Girl and won the Best Actor Oscar last year, was interviewed on Feb. 26 by Us Weekly, when he graciously admitted that Leo should win.

Asked if he felt that it was Leo’s year, Eddie told Us, “I think it’s pretty much certainly is. The film is great, and it’s so well deserved.”

Eddie is now becoming a regular at the Oscars, having appeared in other Academy Awards nominated movies such as My Week With Marilyn and Les Misérables. But he still accepts it’s surprising for him every year he attends the ceremony.
