England footballer Adam Johnson will return to court today as his child sex trial continues.

The ex-Sunderland star, 28, pleaded guilty to charges of grooming and sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl last week.

But he denied two more serious charges of sexual activity with same girl involving penetration.



A jury at Bradford Crown Court has been told Johnson's "excessive arrogance" and "sexual desire" for the schoolgirl landed him in court.

The case will continue on Thursday with more prosecution witnesses.
