The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has ridiculed the explanation offered by former Commissioner for Information and Communications, Ibim Semeneitari, on the dinner the past administration held for Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka.
Jerry Needam, spokesperson to Felix Obuah, the Rivers PDP Chairman, dismissed the reaction as “hollow” “petty” and “childish.”
The past administration of Governor Rotimi Amaechi reportedly spent some N82 million the contentious dinner.
Semenitari has been quoted as justifying the dinner in honour of the world-famous Soyinka.
