The Biafra Independent Movement (BIM), formerly the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State has concluded plans to hold general elections in Biafra territories on February 22, reports The Nation.
The elections will be held in wards, provinces, districts, regions and zones of the South- east and South-south zones, which are said to be part of the Biafra territories.
Ralph Uwazuruike, leader of the group, said the group plans to form a parallel government in the two zones.
Speaking during the presentation of the 2016 Biafra Budget at the Ojukwu Memorial library, Uwazuruike said the elections will be by open ballot, popularly known as Option A4.
