Young Muslim student 'was spat at and called a terrorist on London bus as other passengers smiled and did nothing'

A young Muslim student was ‘spat at and called a terrorist’ on a London bus while other passengers ‘smiled and did nothing’, it has been claimed.

Irqa Mohamed, 20, said she was the victim of a racist rant while she was wearing a hijab on the bus in Islington.

She said she ‘did not think she would leave the bus alive’, alleging a ‘crazed’ man spat at her and racially abused her while other passengers did nothing last Sunday.
