UK weather: Dramatic footage shows flood victim rescued from submerged Land Rover - through SUNROOF

Homes and businesses along the River Wear could be flooded in the coming hours while the River Ouse could rise to 15ft

This is the dramatic moment a man had to be pulled through the sunroof of his submerged Land Rover after the vehicle became trapped in the floods.

In the video, emergency services paddle up to the underwater vehicle in an inflatable dinghy - fighting against the strong current.

The eventually get to the car, in Mytholmroyd, in West Yorkshire, and tell the driver to open his sunroof.
They rip the plastic door away and toss it into the raging torrent.

The terrified driver is then pulled through the small hole, while a crowd of onlookers applaud the emergency crew's efforts.
