Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach isn’t exactly enjoying her first days as Miss Universe, she’s actually terrified her crown will be taken away. The newly crowned Miss Universe reveals in a new interview that she keeps asking her manager and others on her team if she really won because her emotions are still all over the place after Steve Harvey accidentally crowned Miss Colombia by mistake.
“I was confused. I wasn’t sure what was going on,” Pia told Entertainment Tonight. “I didn’t expect that to happen at all. I had to ask my [manager] many times like, ‘Did I really win? Am I really Miss Universe? Are you going to take the crown from me now?’ And they [said], ‘No, no, you’re really the winner.'” We feel so bad for Pia that she has to spend her first few days discussing the screw up. This should be a time where she’s enjoying being Miss Universe. Instead she is forced to discuss Steve’s inability to read a teleprompter!
